LUMAI Privacy Policy

LUMAI is a lighting companion app that controls Philips Hue lights on your own home network.

Last updated: August 25, 2026

What we collect

Nothing. LUMAI has no accounts, no sign-in, no analytics, no ads, and no tracking of any kind.

Where your data lives

  • Your Hue Bridge address and the application key created when you pair are stored only on your device.
  • Your rooms, lights, scenes, and looks are read from your own Hue Bridge over your local network and are not sent anywhere else.
  • If you use the microphone (hold-to-talk), audio is processed to carry out your request and is not stored.

What leaves your device

Commands travel directly from your device to your Hue Bridge on your local network. LUMAI does not operate servers that receive your data.

One exception, for setup only: to find your bridge the first time, LUMAI may ask Signify’s official discovery service (discovery.meethue.com) for your bridge’s address. That request carries no account or personal information, and you can skip it by entering your bridge’s IP address manually.

Permissions

  • Local Network — required to find and control your Hue Bridge.
  • Microphone — optional, only if you choose to talk to Luma, the in-app companion.

Children

LUMAI does not collect data from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new date.
